Neil and I took part in two TTs this weekend: A 2upTTT in Pencaitland on Saturday, and a 15TT in Stirling on Sunday.
The 2upTT was two laps of the Humbie Circuit which is a tough course containing multiple stingy climbs and two sketchy wet descents.
Neil and I set off deciding to go full gas on the climbs, recover the risky descents and survive the flats.
Tactics then changed to just survive on Neil’s wheel for the last 5km.
We came home with a 54:40 which bagged us First place! A minute ahead of second place and a cheeky course KOM on Strava as a bonus.
Sunday morning took us to Stirling for a super flat, out and back 15mile TT.
Slight cross-head outward leg with a cross-tail home meant for some quick times.
Neil came home 9th with a rapid 32:41 with my breadstick legs coming home 17th with 33:29.
Next weekend is the Tour of the Trossachs in Abberfoyle for the last race of the season and hopefully the last time I’ll have to put up with Neil’s patter at 8am till next year.
