The Bridgehaugh course was once again bathed in warm sunshine although accompanied by a pesky breeze from the southwest. This made the last three quarters of the course a little testing, but it meant that the first three miles was a lovely downwind blast.
Joe came in first at a whisker over 22 minutes, not far off his course PB. Duncan used neither the headwind nor the traffic that held him up as an excuse as he flew to a course PB of 22:44. Neil was equal second in the same time.
Andrea rode a great race until just after the finish line, when she turned into the gravel-strewn layby and her front wheel slipped away….and you know the rest……we hope your gravel rash heals up quickly, Andrea!
Sincere thanks as always to the team of marshals and timekeeper.
