EVENT REPORT
Last weekend I headed south to do the Ekoi Stone Circle, a 215km gravel ride starting and finishing close to Stonehenge.
It was the first edition of the event, however Hotchilli Events are pretty skilled at putting on events and was well organised. It was a really varied course, wide open and superb gravel over Salisbury Plain, loamy tracks through Longleat estate, chalky tracks and overgrown bridleways. Only about 30km was on road. No huge hills but still gained about 3000m of climbing by the end of the ride. In the heat it really felt like a big day out and the 3 feed stops were like mini-oasis! If you like your gravel and riding away from traffic I’d recommend this as a weekend away. I joined some friends on Sunday for a club run before heading home.
